Bakers partner gains China role

Baker & McKenzie Hong Kong partner Cynthia Yuen Shun Tang has been appointed a Chinese arresting officer. The position, conferred by the Chinese Ministry of Justice, means Tang is allowed to attest and certify legal actions, documents and matters in Hong Kong for use in China. Tang is the second Bakers partner to be awarded the role following property lawyer Angela Lee. Managing partner of Hong Kong David Flemming said: "We are very proud Cynthia has received this prestigious appointment."
