Solution 6 has released CMS.Net, a new 'evolution' of its law firm PMS system that has been developed on Microsoft's .NET platform – essentially an internet-enabled version of its standard CMS Open product.
According to Solution 6, the new offering will enable law firms to "quickly and cost-effectively add remote users as well [as] interfacing with wireless, PDA and networked devices to provide access from anywhere".
CMS.Net, which is poised for general release on 30 June, features a fully customisable web-based inquiry module. This will enable business users to better access and view financial data.
The supplier claims that the product also incorporates "vastly expanded multi-currency capabilities to enable global firms to balance numerous offices in multiple currency formats; and new electronic banking, bank reconciliation and BRAGO billing capabilities to enhance back-office efficiencies and meet regulatory compliance.
CMS.Net also boasts greater web-based time capture capabilities with "fully exposed APIs" (application program interfaces) for easier and more extensive integration; and an improved user interface within the collections module.
A spokesman for Solution 6 said it contained all the CMS Open functionality while "providing technology leadership on a next-generation and cost-effective technology platform".
