Bingham McCutchen is poised to take over the respected Los Angeles-based corporate boutique Riordan & McKinzie as the Boston-based giant moves to further bolster its expanding Californian practice. A deal to absorb the 70-lawyer practice is now expected to be secured in a matter of weeks – handing the top 20 US firm its fourth merger in four years.
