Hardwicke building set to split in two

London's largest chambers Hardwicke Building is splitting in two, dividing into a civil and family set and a criminal set. The civil set, which will be called either Hardwicke Building or Hardwicke Chambers, will have 68 members and will be led by Nigel Jones QC. The criminal set, which has agreed it will be able to use the Hardwicke name for a maximum of one year, will have 47 members headed by Patrick Upward QC.
