Wragge & Co has closed its first instruction for GE's commercial and business finance divisions on a £40m facility to assist the buy-out of a group of pharmaceutical companies. Head of asset finance Paula Laird led the Wragges team, while DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary private equity partner Jim Lavery advised the buyer. Peter McLintock and Sukh Ahark of Hammonds acted for the vendors.
Travers Smith advised UK private equity house Phoenix on the £31.5m buy-out of leisure and holiday park company The Generations Group. Corporate partner Phil Sanderson led the team with banking partner Simon Buckingham, while the vendor was advised by Stephens & Scown corporate partner James Keliher.
