Washington DC's Howrey has expanded its European operation with the launch of a Paris office – its fourth in Europe.
Howrey has tied-up with French IP boutique Cabinet Couste & Couste with the office officially opening next month. The Paris firm focuses on the pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and technology sectors.
Howrey managing partner Robert Ruyak said: "Cabinet Couste gives our European IP practice a formidable French presence."
The US firm has been expanding steadily in Europe in recent years, with the opening of a London office in 2001 followed by Brussels in 2002 and Amsterdam the following year.
