Charlton takes CC corporate helm

Clifford Chance (CC) has appointed London managing partner Peter Charlton as its new global head of corporate following a contested election against head of Italy Nick Wrigley.
The result was announced at the magic circle firm today (15 June).
Charlton will replace CC's David Childs, who is standing down to focus on his chief operating officer role. Charlton, who takes up the position on 1 July, will continue as London managing partner for an interim period.
