Slaughter and May corporate partner David Watkins has become the magic circle firm's first secondment to the Takeover Panel, acting as secretary from January 2006 to January 2008. Watkins will work with the panel's director general, Mark Warham, as the body attempts to implement the European Union Takeover Directive.
