US firm King & Spalding is to launch a London tax practice with the hire of Clifford Chance associate Kevin Conway as a partner. The London office is also bringing in employment lawyer Pulina Whitaker from Barlow Lyde & Gilbert as a senior associate and arbitration lawyers Ken Fleuriet and Heloise Herve from King & Spalding's Houston arm and the Paris office of Shearman & Sterling respectively. The appointments follow this month's promotion of UK corporate head John Keffer to managing partner.
