The Law Society has published its annual guide to choosing the right legal technology. The Software Solutions Guide profiles fifteen suppliers which were selected by a panel of specialists.
Suppliers are evaluated on functionality, customer feedback and financial stability, with the panel paying particular attention to e-mail integration, money laundering checks and client conflict checking.
In addition, the guide provides details on pricing, the number of users and suitability based on size of firm.
Kevin Martin, president of the Law Society, said: "This guide will help law firms make more informed decisions about choosing the best IT supplier for their needs and gives them a head-start with their IT purchasing decisions.
"Effective information management is essential in today's competitive legal services market and having good software systems at their disposal can help firms save money and also increase profits by improving overall efficiency," he added.
