New York firms Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton and Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz have bagged lead roles advising a private equity duo on its $26bn (£13.7bn) bid for Harrah's Entertainment, the world's biggest casino operator. Cleary is advising long-term client Texas Pacific Group, while Wachtell is representing Apollo Management.
