Kaye Scholer makes double Torys tax hire

Kaye Scholer has boosted its tax practice with the hire of Gary Gartner and Jeffrey Scheine, who join as partners from Torys. Gartner was the managing partner of Torys' tax department and advises on US and foreign tax consequences of transactions, restructurings and securities offerings. Scheine joined Torys in 2002 with Gartner, and his practice focuses on Canadian investments in the US.
