Paris boutique Veil Jourde has boosted its litigation practice with the hire of highly-rated White & Case fraud partner Emmanuel Rosenfeld.

Rosenfeld, a leader in white-collar dispute resolution, will join Veil Jourde as a partner from the US giant's Paris outfit. He is a well-regarded litigator and real estate lawyer and advises clients on investments in regulated areas, such as real estate, telecommunications, broadcasting and franchising.

Prior to entering private practice, Rosenfeld was a judge in the French administrative courts.

The hire will come as a boost to Veil Jourde, which has lost a number of lawyers in recent years. During the summer the firm lost an eight-lawyer team to the Paris office of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher. The US firm took respected corporate partner Ariel Harroch as well as corporate partner Marie-Charlotte Trebuchet and six associates.

In early 2005, Veil Jourde lost an eight-lawyer team, including M&A partner Patrick Jais and litigation partner Barbara Levy, to Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacob-son's Paris arm.
