Vinsons boosts DC arm with 14-lawyer team

Vinson & Elkins has boosted its Washington DC trade practice following a raid on US rival Willkie Farr & Gallagher. The Texas firm has hired a 14-lawyer team from Willkie Farr's international trade law practice in the US capital, including five partners. The team is headed by Bill Barringer and includes fellow partners Chris Dunn, James Durling, Ken Pierce and Daniel Porter. The rest of the team comprises one counsel, eight associates and five analysts.
