Independent firms continue to dominate the Slovakian legal market, with the newest addition, Bratislava practice Hamala Kluch Viglasky, opening up shop over the summer.

The firm was established by former White & Case real estate partner Roman Hamala, who quit the local arm of the New York giant in July to launch his own firm.

Hamala was followed from White & Case – one of the few international practices to maintain a presence in the Slovakian market – by a pair of associates: banking and finance specialist Peter Viglasky and corporate and commercial lawyer Martin Kluch.
