Slaughter and May has advised Standard Chartered Bank on the sale of its shareholding in Standard Chartered Trustee and Standard Chartered Asset Management to a subsidiary of UBS, for $120m (£61m). l Ashurst has advised Arla Foods UK in relation to a recommended cash offer by majority shareholder, the Danish cooperative Arla Foods, to acquire the remaining 49% of the company's share capital. The deal values the company's entire issued share capital at £434.5m. The Ashurst team was led by corporate partner Paul Gadd. Allen & Overy corporate partners Jeremy Hunt and Alan Paul (pictured) and associate David Foster acted for the acquirers.
l Nabarro Nathanson has advised Aerial Facilities on its acquisition by ECI Partners for £56m. The Nabarros team was led by corporate partner Roger Gregory. ECI was advised by Hammonds, with head of private equity Jonathan Jones leading the team.
l Olswang has advised a consortium of investors on the £217.5m acquisition of a leading UK provider of outsourced business services and technology solutions, Vertex Data Science, from United Utilities. The consortium was made up of US-based Oak Hill Capital Partners, Knox Lawrence International and GenNx 360 Capital Partners. Private equity partner Chris Mackie led the Olswang team. Slaughter and May corporate partner Peter Brien led the team advising United Utilities.
l Fladgate Fielder has advised Israeli company Dmatek on the acquisition of the world's largest GPS offender-tracking technology provider, Pro Tech Monitoring, for a consideration of $12.5m (£6m). Corporate partner Avram Kelman led the team at Fladgate. Pro Tech was advised in-house.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
