Three of Europe's most prominent general counsel will be spearheading the debate at this year's Legal Week Corporate Counsel Forum.

The trio are set to lead a discussion on a wide range of topics affecting general counsel from career management to practical advice on running an in-house legal department.

The event, which will be held on 16-18 May at the Conrad in Brussels, is this year built around the theme of building and retaining a world-class legal team.

Nick Deeming, general counsel at Linde, will be co-chairing the event and is set to open a debate on managing cultural change and guiding in-house teams.

Chief legal officer of international drinks giant InBev Sabine Chalmers (pictured above) will be addressing delegates on the subject of leadership and talent development. She will also be leading a panel discussion on mentoring and coaching alongside Wolf von Kumberg, Northrop Grumman's legal director for Europe and JPMorgan's assistant general counsel Michael Nelson.

Meanwhile, British Airways general counsel Philip Bramwell will deliver a speech on how corporate counsel can combine their position as lawyer with a prominent commercial role.
