McNicholl named as Linklaters Tokyo head
Linklaters has appointed corporate partner Paul McNicholl as joint managing partner of the firm's Tokyo office, replacing incumbent Tony Grundy, who is to return to full-time fee earning. Grundy established the Tokyo office in 1987 and has been managing partner for the last seven years and jointly since April 2005. McNicholl will take over his new role alongside joint managing partner Akihiro Wani this week.
