Clifford Chance (CC) has bulked up its Paris employment practice with the hire of White & Case partner Francois Farmine.

Farmine specialises in reorganisations and restructurings for French and international clients, as well as collective and individual labour disputes.

He will join CC's eight-strong Paris employment team on 1 October, working closely alongside employment partner Christian Lacheze.

Earlier this year, a CC team including Lacheze and Paris finance partner Daniel Zerbib advised Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank on a £2.8bn debt sale for Eurotunnel.

CC acted for the banking giants on the sale of the debt through loan repackaging company Channel Link Enterprises.

Commenting on the appointment, CC Paris managing partner Yves Wehrli said: "[The hire] illustrates our commitment to this area in response to the many employment-related issues our clients face in the context of major transactions or in day-to-day management of human resources."
