Hammonds is advising the ex-managing director of Leeds United Football Club, Jeremy Fenn, on his company's acquisition of a £12m business to distribute eco-friendly taxis. Leeds head of corporate Steven Glover is advising on Pannal's reverse takeover of KPM Autos and a float of part of the business on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) under the name Eco City Vehicles. Holman Fenwick & Willan, led by corporate partner Nicholas Hutton, is advising KPM, while Dechert, led by corporate associate Andrew Harrow, is advising the broker, Numis.

Wragge & Co, led by asset-based lending partner Paula Laird, is advising Lloyds TSB Bank and Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance on a £27m bridging facility and £29m refinancing to fund Contracting Solutions Group's (CSG's) recommended cash offer for rival IT company Lorien. Jones Day, led by M&A partner Leon Ferera, advised CSG and Hammonds corporate partner Jane Haxby (pictured) advised Lorien.

Pinsent Masons, led by head of corporate Martin Shaw, has advised Cosalt on its £30m acquisition of marine services business GTC Holdings and a £25.5m equity fund raising. Macfarlanes corporate partner Robert Boyle advised underwriters David Ross and the Rappaport family and Maclay Murray & Spens advised GTC's shareholders, led by corporate partner Gordon Hobkirk.

FINANCE

Clifford Chance (CC) has advised Bayerische Hypo- und Vereinsbank (HVB) as lead manager on a €6.2bn (£4.3bn) collateralised loan obligation of large corporate loans of HVB, UniCredit Banca d'Impresa and Bank Austria Creditanstalt. Frankfurt structured finance partner Kirti Vasu, London structured products partner Claude Brown and Milan finance partners Michele Crisostomo and Tanja Svetina led for CC. Schoenherr Rechtsanwaelte in Vienna advised on Austrian law and CC's Rome office, led by capital markets partner Anna Bessant, acted for the trustee.

COMMERCIAL

Denton Wilde Sapte, led by technology partner John Worthy and associate Helen Anderson, has advised HITS Telecom Uganda and its majority shareholder in relation to a $100m (£49.8m) contract with Alcatel-Lucent to build a mobile telecoms network in Uganda. Alcatel-Lucent was advised by in-house counsel Nabil Mohiadeen.

CAPITAL MARKETS

Travers Smith, led by head of corporate finance Spencer Summerfield (pictured right), is advising Dresdner Kleinwort and Arbuthnot Securities as joint underwriters of a £60m rights issue by Costain Group. Travers is also advising Hawkpoint Partners as sponsor to Costain. Slaughter and May, led by corporate partners Andrew Jolly and Mark Zerdin, is advising Costain.

Olswang, led by corporate partner Adam Fenner, has advised American Leisure Group on its £75m fundraising and admission to AIM, with a market capitalisation of £204m. Dechert, led by corporate partner David Vogel, advised nominated advisers and brokers Dawnay Day Corporate Finance and Collins Stewart Europe.
