Dewey & LeBoeuf associate Sabine Konrad has become the youngest-ever arbitrator to be appointed to World Bank-affiliated investment disputes panel the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).

Konrad, 33, is an associate in the newly-merged firm's Paris office and joins the ICSID panel of arbitrators alongside Dewey's London international dispute resolution co-head, Arthur Marriott. Marriott currently holds the post of conciliator on the panel.

The ICSID is the most important institution for the settlement of investment disputes between governments and private foreign investors, with over 110 pending cases. It was established in 1966 under an international convention to which 144 countries are member states.
