Bristol firm Veale Wasbrough has acted on the sale of the most expensive residential apartment ever sold in the city.

The firm advised local property developers Park Properties on the sale of 18 apartments in the prestigious Bridge House building in Clifton.

The 142-year old site, formerly the famous Clifton Down Hotel, features two individual apartments which sold to private buyers for well over £1m, comfortably beating the previous record of £1.15m paid for a single residence in the city, also at Bridge House.

Real estate associate Elizabeth Romero led the team for Veale Wasbrough with support from residential plot sales assistants Naomi Evans, Sarah Mant and Tamsin Taylor.

Romero told Legal Week: "We have a lot of regeneration work going on in Bristol at the moment and the centre of the city is becoming a lot more attractive to purchasers. People are investing for the future here."

Bridge House's penthouse apartments have roof terraces boasting the highest residential view-point in the entire city with 360-degree panoramic views.

The building remains a Bristol landmark with locals claiming iconic engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel took his breakfast there
prior to removing the first stone for the construction of the world-famous Clifton Suspension Bridge, which is situated nearby.
