Linklaters private equity partner Richard Youle (pictured) has advised Hermes Private Equity on its £55m acquisition of European engineering service Beck & Pollitzer from Bank of Scotland Integrated Finance. Travers Smith corporate partner Andrew Roberts led a team advising Bank of Scotland Integrated Finance as well as Beck & Pollitzer's selling shareholders. Burges Salmon corporate associate Will Whitt advised Royal Bank of Scotland, which provided the debt.

Ashurst is advising Cinven on its €540m (£377m) acquisition of Nordic integrated facilities management business Coor Service Management Group from 3i. The Ashurst team was led by corporate partner Charlie Geffen (pictured below right), assisted by senior associate David Arnold. Linklaters Stockholm head Peter Hogstrom and corporate associate Roger Johnson led the team advising 3i. Clifford Chance corporate partner Karen Hodson advised the mandated lead arrangers, which were not named.

Travers Smith corporate partner David Innes has advised Nova Capital Management on its £75m acquisition of Barloworld Scientific Laboratory Group from South African industrial company Barloworld. Fulbright & Jaworski commercial partner Christopher Alan Geraint Clement-Davies advised Barloworld with Bowman Gilfillan advising on South African issues. Wragge & Co banking partner Chris Brierley (pictured below left) advised HSBC, which provided the debt.

ALTERNATIVE INVESTMENT MARKET (AIM)

Baker & McKenzie has advised Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander Capital Markets in its capacity as nominated adviser and broker on Dutch-based Cryo-Save Group's £26.54m listing on AIM. Corporate partner James Burdett led the Bakers team, assisted by corporate associate Hilary Ownes. Simmons & Simmons corporate partner Tim Field advised Cryo-Save, the first stem cell storage company to list on AIM.

Gibson Dunn & Crutcher has advised London & Stamford Property on its £247.5m admission to AIM. Finance partner Tom Budd led the team advising London & Stamford Property. Jones Day London real estate head David Roberts advised on property aspects while Addleshaw Goddard corporate partner Simon Griffiths advised the nomad and sponsor, KBC Peel Hunt.

PROJECTS

Pinsent Masons projects partner Jonathan Hart has advised Amey Lighting on its 25-year Norfolk street-lighting private finance initiative project, which was sponsored by Norfolk County Council. The project was financed by HSBC and has an overall value of £150m. Norfolk County Council and HSBC were advised by Addleshaw Goddard projects partner Andrew Pettinger (pictured) and DLA Piper projects associate Mark Northey respectively.

PROPERTY

Wragge & Co real estate associate Nishal Jassal has advised investment company Development Securities on the development and forward sale of its Manchester-based CityPark offices to Peninsula Business Services, which was advised by Halliwells property partner Gareth Atkinson.
