Irish heavyweight A&L Goodbody has made up seven lawyers to its partnership in its latest round of internal promotions.

Corporate gained two new partners, with Niamh Coyne and Cian McCourt both made up. Banking lawyer Maireadh Dale also gets the nod, as do project finance and energy specialist Ross Moore, David Main in the pensions practice and investment funds specialist Carol Widger.

Barrister Paula Reid, who heads up the firm's knowledge department, is also among the promotions.

All of the new appointments – which were effective from 1 May and grow the Irish firm's total partnership to 70 – come at A&L Goodbody's Dublin headquarters.

Commenting on the promotions, A&L Goodbody managing partner Paul Carroll said: "We are delighted to elevate these seven dynamic individuals within the firm.
