DLA Piper has signed up two new partners for its Moscow office from the local arm of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. Jonathan Socolow and Brian Konradi will join the energy finance and corporate practice departments respectively next month.

The hires take the number of partners in DLA Piper's Moscow office to 11, with three new partners joining the office this summer alone. Russia banking head Vyacheslav Khorovskiy joined the firm last month from Allen & Overy.

Before joining DLA Piper, Socolow was a senior counsel with Akin Gump in Moscow, where he advised on transactions and regulatory matters in the oil, gas, power and infrastructure sectors. Konradi was a counsel at the US firm, specialising in corporate, M&A work and capital markets.

Constantine Lusignan-Rizhinashvili, DLA Piper's CIS managing partner, said: "Brian's contribution is largely sought in support of the corporate transactional practice, while his historical focus
in the energy sector will complement Jonathan's strong energy practice."
