Field Fisher Waterhouse has bagged its second partner in a week after taking on Lesley Webber from Reed Smith.

Webber joins the firm's City real estate practice from the local office of Reed Smith, where she was a partner and head of the UK property litigation and planning group.

At Field Fisher, Webber becomes part of a seven-lawyer property litigation practice headed by partner Antony Phillips.

Prior to joining Reed Smith, Webber, who specialises in redevelopment and lease renewal issues, dilapidations and service charges, as well as broader contentious and non-contentious planning matters, headed the property litigation groups at Beachcroft Wansbroughs and DLA Piper.

In addition to her work with law firms Webber has been a member of the Government's property advisory group for seven years and is currently a member of its commercial property group. In 2002 she was awarded the OBE for services to the property industry.

The hire comes on the back of a period of recruitment for Field Fisher's City real estate team; property finance partners John Nelmes and Richard Green joined the firm last year from Davies Arnold Cooper, while planning partner Sarah Youren joined from Denton Wilde Sapte.

Webber's hire comes days after Field Fisher announced it was boosting its London intellectual property (IP) and technology dispute resolution practice with the hire of partner Andrew Dodd from DLA Piper.

Dodd, who joins Field Fisher on 8 September, leaves DLA Piper after seven years at the firm. He brings Field Fisher's IP and technology dispute practice to seven partners, in addition to 14 other lawyers.
