Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom is boosting its Russia practice with the relocation of a senior corporate partner from London to Moscow.

Linda Davies is set to transfer to the region in the new year, becoming the third partner on the ground in the Russian capital.

Davies will join Alexey Kiyashko and Dmitri Kovalenko as full-time partners in the office, with two further partners – Pranav Trivedi and Richard Muglia – splitting their time between London and Moscow.

The office works with Skadden's broader Russia group, which consists of eight partners and lawyers from the firm's London, Frankfurt, Paris and Moscow offices.

Skadden's Moscow arm, which opened in 1992, has worked on a number of high-profile deals over the last 18 months including the $4.3bn (£2.9bn) acquisition of Golden Telecom by Vimpelcom and Lion Capital's $420m (£282m) buy-up of Russian juice provider Nidan Soki.
