Anheuser-Busch InBev has appointed UK and Ireland legal director Claude Bahoshy as its new vice president of legal for Western Europe.
Bahoshy, who took up the new role earlier this week, replaces long-serving Anheuser-Busch lawyer Oleg Moubarakshin, who is leaving the company after 11 years in the post.
Bahoshy, who joined the company in 2002, will retain responsibilities for the UK while the company decides whether or to replace the UK role.
The UK and Ireland function has two lawyers, including Bahoshy, while the Western Europe team has more than 50 lawyers across Germany, Italy, France and the Netherlands.
News of Bahoshy's appointment comes as Anheuser-Busch InBev prepares to review its global legal advisers following the companies' $52bn (£36bn) merger in November.
The panel review, which will begin in March, will be closely watched by regular InBev advisers Sullivan & Cromwell, Linklaters and Clifford Chance as well as Anheuser-Busch regulars Lovells and Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom.
The panel review is being led by Sabine Chalmers (pictured right), who was named as the merged company's chief legal and compliance officer late last year.
Bahoshy said: "I'm thrilled, I'm honoured and I'm scared – thrilled to be offered the role at the new company, honoured that the company has put their trust in me and scared because of the challenges that we currently face in Western Europe."
