A&O US star Cunningham joins litigation leader
Allen & Overy (A&O) US co-head Daniel Cunningham has quit the firm's New York office to join litigation leader Quinn Emanuel Urquhart Oliver & Hedges. Cunningham, who was lauded as A&O's most high-profile US recruit when he joined the City firm from Cravath Swaine & Moore in 2001, will move to Quinn Emanuel's New York office on 1 July.The addition of Cunningham, a structured finance and derivatives specialist, does not signal a departure from Quinn Emanuel's litigation-only model. Managing partner John Quinn said in a statement released on Thursday (19 March) that the hire is part of an effort to expand the firm's litigation capabilities.
