Minogue to become third dedicated construction partner for Ashurst
Ashurst has secured its first lateral partner hire in the City so far this year, with the firm bringing in highly-rated construction partner Ann Minogue from Linklaters.
Minogue, who specialises in transactional construction work, is set to join Ashurst in the autumn, when she will become the top 10 City firm's third dedicated construction partner in the UK and the 15th real estate partner in London.
She will work alongside practice head Marc Hanson – who joined from CMS Cameron McKenna in 2006 – and Alex Cunliffe, who was promoted to partner last year.
Minogue joined Linklaters as a partner in 2001 from Camerons. She shares a number of clients with Ashurst's real estate team, including developers Stanhope and British Land, and has advised on high-profile construction projects including the Royal Opera House and Tate Modern as well as aspects of Broadgate and Heron Tower.
Ashurst's construction team has acted on several flagship development projects including Westfield London, Crossrail, Stratford City
and Silvertown Quays.
Adrian Dear, Ashurst's head of real estate, said: "Ann is a class act with a fantastic client base and is well respected in the industry. People like her do not come along often so you have to snap them up when they do."
The hire represents Ashurst's second real estate lateral in less than a year, following the October addition of planning specialist Trevor Goode from Berwin Leighton Paisner. Her departure leaves Linklaters with one full-time construction partner in London and 14 partners in the broader real estate team.
