Clyde & Co has continued its hiring spree with the addition of commercial disputes partner Marko Kraljevic.

Kraljevic joins the insurance specialist from Halliwells, where he was a partner in the firm's London office.

His practice focuses on international arbitration in international trade, shipping, trade contract disputes and international investment within the shipping, petroleum and coal industries.

Kraljevic is the eleventh lateral partner hire Clydes has made over the last year, following the addition of two partners from Clifford Chance (CC) and a team from Barlow Lyde & Gilbert.

In June the firm recruited Paris litigation partner Pierre Bechmann and London finance partner Andy Tromans, both from CC. It also hired a trio of insurance partners from Barlows, including Roger Doulton, for its London office.

Commenting on Kraljevic's arrival, London disputes partner John Whittaker said: "The commodities and international trade field has fared extremely well in these turbulent times due to the volatilities in the market. Having a first-rate lawyer such as Marko on board will enable us to increase our strength and depth and will be beneficial in maintaining the high level of service our clients have come to expect."

The news comes in the same week that it emerged Manchester litigation partner John Lord had left Halliwells to join Irwin Mitchell as a partner in Manchester.
