Almost every woman we know – and a few men – are fans of Sex and the City. And those fans are going to be very jealous of their friends who work at Hogan & Hartson when Sarah Jessica Parker and crew come to the US firm's New York offices early next month to film part of the movie sequel.

The atrium on the 25th floor of Hogan's offices at 875 Third Avenue will be transformed into Mr. Big's on-screen office, according to an internal memo that found its way to our inbox (we have no idea what Mr. Big does for a living, but we know he's played by Chris Noth).

However, even if you've got a friend at Hogan, don't get your hopes up for an invite on 2 September, when the cast will be filming there.

"We understand that your friends and family are BIG fans (and Mr. Big fans) of the series," the internal memo says. "Unfortunately, as much as we want to, we cannot accommodate guests, friends and family members and fellow fashionistas. If at all possible, we will try to arrange for Hogan employees to meet the stars and get autographs, but we cannot guarantee this."

The firm will be slightly inconvenienced as several 25th-floor conference rooms will be booked and secretaries will have to work away from their desks for the day. A few partners will also have to clean up their offices "so your boxes are not in the movie!" the memo says.

A firm spokeswoman confirmed the memo's authenticity, but (so far) declined to discuss how the firm was chosen as a location for the film or whether it will receive any payment besides the prestige of ending the memo with the statement, "Dress code: Jimmy Choos permitted."
