Nabarro's corporate team has closed £1bn worth of emerging market listings within a week, rounding off a successful first quarter for the firm.
In late March, the UK top 25 firm advised Arden Partners as financial adviser to Indian power supplier KSK on its move from the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) to a secondary listing on the Official list with a market capitalisation of £800m.
The Official list, which is maintained by the Financial Services Authority, includes all securities traded on the London Stock Exchange.
Nabarro corporate partner Alasdair Steele headed up the team advising Arden. KSK turned to LG, while Indian firm Khaitan & Co provided local law advice.
At the same time, a Nabarro team led by corporate partner Martin Finnegan advised investment dealer Canaccord Adams as adviser and joint bookrunner on the £184.5m AIM listing of West African iron ore company Bellzone Mining.
Hunton & Williams advised Bellzone, which also raised $50m (£33m) via a share placing, with corporate partner Dearbhla Quigley leading the US firm's team.
Meanwhile, Nabarro was also instructed by new client PXPV Vietnam Fund, a Cayman Islands-based investment company, on its move from the Irish Stock Exchange to a listing on the Official List with a market capitalisation of $60m (£39m).
Steele again led the Nabarro team advising PXPV, while Ogier provided offshore advice and Berwin Leighton Paisner advised the sponsor, Seymour Pierce.
Nabarro corporate head Iain Newman (pictured) told Legal Week: "The flotations are a good start and part of our capitalising on international and natural resources opportunities. There are a few more flotations and fundraisings with international and natural resources flavour in the pipeline."
