Taylor Wessing has announced its annual round of partner promotions with the firm's German offices receiving the vast majority of the new appointments.
The Anglo-German firm has made up a total of 12 new partners, eight of which are based in Germany across Hamburg, Duesseldorf, Berlin and Munich.
The firm's London office, meanwhile, receives two new partners with the remaining two in Paris. All appointments were effective as of 1 May.
The round is a 30% decline on 2009, when 17 new partners were appointed. However the number of London partners appointed was static from last year, when the UK office also received just two new partners.
City private client lawyer Ryan Myint, who joined Taylor Wessing in 2004 from Clifford Chance after having trained with Withers, is one of the new London partners.
He joins the London partnership alongside corporate lawyer Mark Barron, who specialises in advising emerging growth and listed companies in the US, Canada, Europe, Australasia and China.
Firm managing partner Tim Eyles (pictured) commented: "Beyond their technical ability, these individuals have all demonstrated a depth of knowledge of the industries in which they operate that allows them to offer the instinctively commercial advice that our clients so value. It is with great pleasure that we welcome our new partners."
The promotions bring the total number of partners across Taylor Wessing's firmwide network to 294.
