Clifford Chance (CC) has added to its New York office with the hire of a restructuring partner from Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman.

Rick Antonoff has joined CC's financial restructuring team, which is part of the US restructuring group headed up by New York partner Andrew Brozman. Antonoff's practice focuses on insolvency and restructuring as well as commercial litigation.

He was an associate with both Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison and Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft before joining Greenberg Traurig as a partner in 2002. He has been a partner at Pillsbury since 2005.

In New York, Antonoff marks CC's fourth partner addition this month, with three made up in the firm's annual promotions round on 1 May. CC's Americas practice has 320 lawyers in total, including 65 partners. Of those, 10 advise on restructuring.

The news comes as CC energy specialist Nick Dingemans joins City rival Norton Rose in Moscow. Dingemans was a counsel in CC's Russian corporate and energy group, but joins Norton Rose as a partner.

Separately, CC has lost its Moscow dispute resolution head Ivan Marisin to Dechert. Marisin will join the firm's Moscow arm, along with an associate and a counsel as head of the firm's dispute resolution team in Russia, the CIS and Eastern Europe.
