Halliwells partner Robert Campbell has taken up a new role as head of business litigation at US firm Faegre & Benson's London office.

Prior to Halliwells, Campbell worked at both Lovells and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, and has 15 years' experience in commercial litigation.

Faegre was ranked 95th in the most recent Am Law 100 rankings, reporting a 6% fall in partner profits to $505,000 (£325,000).

Many of the remaining 100-plus Halliwells partners have been reaccommodated at a variety of firms in the wake of the firm's selloff of its business.

Shoosmiths this week announced the hire of corporate partner Mark Dawson alongside two associates to launch a corporate practice in Manchester.

Meanwhile, insurance partners Helen Bourne and Damian McPhun are two of the partners to have joined Barlow Lyde & Gilbert alongside the firm's acquisition of Halliwells' Manchester insurance business.

HBJ Gateley Wareing has taken on 40 former partners covering practice areas including banking and finance, corporate, real estate, litigation, intellectual property, employment, pensions and construction.

A further 19 have been taken on by Hill Dickinson including Halliwells managing partner Jonathan Brown as a commercial partner in the firm's Liverpool office.
