Denton Wilde Sapte is set to boost its Moscow corporate practice with the hire of a partner from Dewey & LeBoeuf's London office.

Dentons has hired corporate partner Igor Krivoshekov, who specialises in M&A and private equity. He has joined Dentons in London in a bid to integrate with the corporate team but will relocate to the firm's Moscow arm in January.

US-qualified Krivoshekov has spent seven years with Dewey & LeBoeuf, working in both the London and Moscow offices. He was promoted to partner with the US-based firm four years ago and before joining Dewey & LeBoeuf he practised with Baker & McKenzie, in Chicago and London.

Dentons Moscow managing partner Doran Doeh said: "As a Russian speaker with a Western qualification he will nicely fill a gap that we had in our Moscow office. In addition he has a very loyal Russian client base and is a good colleague who is very easy to work with."

Doeh added that Krivoshekov's US qualification would be an extra strength in view of Dentons' impending merger with Chicago-based law firm Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal which will form transatlantic practice SNR Denton later this month (30 September).

The new partner arrival will give SNR Denton five partners in the Moscow office, including two corporate partners, alongside a team of 17 other lawyers.
