Holman Fenwick Willan has signed an exclusive deal with Kaplan Law School to provide the Legal Practice Course (LPC) for the firm's trainees.

The deal, which came into effect last month, will see Kaplan tailor the LPC to include a specific insurance module for the firm's trainees.

The agreement builds on an exclusive deal that the firm has with the school's sister provider Kaplan Altior for the provision of the Professional Skills Course, a mandatory course that trainees complete during their training contract.

Holman Fenwick trainees will also participate in the School's 'Bridge to Practice' programme that involves practical modules simulating typical scenarios they will encounter at the firm.

Kaplan head Giles Proctor said: "We have been working with Holman Fenwick for a while and are now in the process of developing a tailored Bridge To Practice for them, which we offer to all of our clients that we have an exclusive relationship with.

"We have ongoing discussions with other firms about providing an exclusive service and expect to see more firms signing up to this in due course."

Holman Fenwick is also encouraging its trainees to complete their Graduate Diploma in Law with Kaplan.

Fellow insurance outfit Ince & Co also signed an exclusive agreement to work with Kaplan in January this year.
