SNR Denton has appointed a UK managing partner with the promotion of Milton Keynes head Brandon Ransley to the newly-created role.

Following the appointment, which will go live at the end of the month, Ransley will relocate to London but spend one day a week in Milton Keynes, overseeing both offices.

SNR Denton said that Ransley's role will be to implement the strategy of the new SNR Denton in the UK, and provide support to the international legal practice's UK offices.

The announcement follows the formal launch on 30 September of the transatlantic practice via the merger of Denton Wilde Sapte and Chicago's Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal.

SNR Denton co-chief executive Howard Morris commented: "We are delighted that Brandon has accepted the position of managing partner UK and believe that he will help the firm realise the tremendous benefits inherent in our network of global offices."

Ransley added: "I am intensely proud of what the team has achieved in Milton Keynes over the past two years and look forward to building on that team spirit across the UK and the international offices for the benefit of our clients, staff and SNR Denton as a whole."

Ransley has overseen the legacy Dentons' Milton Keynes arm for two years since he joined the UK firm along with a 24-lawyer team from local practice Howes Percival.
