SNR Denton's UK limited liability partnership (LLP) has expanded its executive board to 10 members.

The newly-merged law firm has added its new UK managing partner Brandon Ransley to the line-up, having already added Middle East chief Neil Cuthbert when Denton Wilde Sapte agreed its union with US firm Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal in September.

The board is chaired by London corporate partner and firmwide co-chairman Martin Kitchen, with the full line-up also comprising City-based global co-chief executive Howard Morris, finance director Stephen Watson, restructuring partner Mark Andrews, finance partner Michael Black, disputes partner Rory McAlpine, London-based consultant Nick Land and Dubai corporate partner Steve McGlennan.

The executive board makes up part of a global advisory committee for SNR Denton. At the time of the merger, which has seen the firms pair up using a Swiss Verein structure, legacy Dentons had only nine members on its strategy committee, while Sonnenschein's policy and planning committee – which makes up the other half of the advisory committee – had 16 members.

The combined committee is chaired jointly by Kitchen and the US side's policy and planning committee head Joseph Andrew.

Ransley was appointed by management to become the firm's first UK managing partner this month. He will relocate to London to take on the position at the end of November but will continue to spend one day a week in Milton Keynes, overseeing both offices and the implementation of the merged firm's strategy in the UK.
