Mishcon de Reya has bolstered its residential property group with the hire of two new partners.

Sonal Gandhi joined the law firm last month (8 November) from Charles Russell, while Beverley Lewis is set to joint the team from Forsters at the beginning of next year (10 January). Both were partners in their former firms.

The pair will work closely with residential property head Ned El-Imad, who joined Mishcons in 2008 from Seddons.

The three-partner, 10-lawyer team will focus on advising clients including high net worth individuals, central London developers and private banks on residential property matters.

Gandhi, who focuses on inward investment, specifically from Middle Eastern clients, is also joined by associate Sarah Cubacub. Both are qualified in the British Virgin Islands as well as the UK.

Lewis has more than 25 years of experience in residential property law with a focus on work such as landlord tenant matters.

El-Imad said: "Both Sonal and Beverley are well known and very highly-regarded lawyers within the residential property sector. The team's expansion is an exciting further step towards establishing ourselves as the premier residential property practice in London."

The hires follow a string of partner appointments within Mishcons' wider real estate group over the last year, including Nick Minkoff, Stephen Hughes and Daniel Farrand from SJ Berwin, Jonathan Legg from LG and Richard Gerstein from Matthew Arnold & Baldwin.
