Clifford Chance (CC) has re-elected its global heads of finance and capital markets, with Mark Campbell and David Dunnigan both set to serve a second term in their respective roles.

The London-based pair have been re-elected by the firm's partnership in uncontested elections, with both appointed for a further four-year period effective from 1 January this year.

Commenting on the appointments, CC managing partner David Childs (pictured) said: "CC boasts very successful international finance and capital markets practices and both Mark and David have played a key role in building this success. I am confident that under their leadership the practices will continue to go from strength to strength."

Dunnigan commented: "I remain hugely committed to the role and am extremely excited about the scale of the opportunity to further develop our capital markets practice globally against a backdrop of increased signs of optimism and rapidly increasingly levels of activity in many key markets."

Other recent elections at CC have included that of Malcolm Sweeting, who formally took up his post as CC's new senior partner on 1 January. He has replaced Stuart Popham, who retired from the role at the end of December 2010. Popham is expected to leave the firm in May.

Last August CC elected Madrid-based Alfonso Benavides as its global head of real estate, replacing retiring London partner Cliff McAuley.
