German independent firm P+P Poellath + Partners has added to its partnership with two lateral hires from Linklaters and Simmons & Simmons.

Wolfram Paetzold is set to join the firm's Munich real estate practice from Linklaters' real estate and construction practice in Frankfurt.

Paetzold has been a partner at Linklaters since 2001, prior to which he was at the firm's merger partner Oppenhoff & Raedler.

He will be P+P's first real estate partner in Munich and has been charged with building up the firm's practice in the region.

Meanwhile, Simmons Germany private equity head Jan Wildberger is joining P+P's private equity and M&A practice in Frankfurt. He joined Simmons' office in the city in August 2009 from local outfit Haarmann.

P+P Poellath executive board member Michael Inhester said: "As a law firm you are always looking to hire good people and this was a great opportunity to strengthen our partnership.

"Jan is very well connected in the Frankfurt market and will help to enhance our M&A practice there, while Wolfram will help us to build a strong real estate practice in Munich. This will not detract from any internal promotions that we will make, as we feel it is important to grow both from within the firm and outside."
