Integreon has signed up another law firm to its stable of outsourcing clients with Morgan Cole the latest to take up the use of its Bristol service centre.

The 340-lawyer law firm has signed a deal for Integreon to run its library and information service, joining existing clients Osborne Clarke, Beachcroft and TLT Solicitors in the use of the service centre, which now employs around 120 staff.

One member of staff is set to transfer to the centre from Morgan Cole, while one other member of staff left to join Integreon independently last year. Two members of staff are being made redundant. All four were based in the firm's Cardiff office.

Morgan Cole has six offices spread across Cardiff, Swansea, Bristol, Oxford and Reading.

The firm's information and technology head Jeff Wright commented: "Traditionally it has been hard for us to recruit and attract the right information and library specialists to the right places. We were attracted by having access to the depth of resource and expertise provided by the centre, which I think would be hard for any law firm to achieve. Integreon delivers this service as a core business and we do not."

Integreon head of global sales John Croft added: "The fact that another law firm is signing up to the centre is just a sign that more firms are realising that some parts of their support services can be provided more effectively through outsourcing. This is especially true for library and information services where it means gaining access to a wider range of material at a lower cost."

The news comes as Integreon finalises the largest support services outsourcing project ever to have been agreed in the UK legal market, with the company set to take over CMS Cameron McKenna's City back office function.
