Uria Menendez has posted a 3% rise in turnover for the last financial year, becoming the last of the Spanish big four law firms to issue its 2010 results.

Turnover climbed to €186.5m (£156.9m) over the year, up from €181m (£152.2m) in 2009. The rise comes after the firm posted increases in revenue of 4% for 2009 and 8% for 2008.

The results mirror those of Uria's peer group, with Cuatrecasas Goncalves Pereira also posting a 3% rise in turnover for 2010 to €241.7m (£203.2m), while Gomez Acebo & Pombo saw revenues grow 2% to €68.9m (£57.9m).

Garrigues, which operates to a different financial year end, announced a 5.5% increase in turnover in October last year, with revenue rising to €353m (£296.5m).

Uria's results follow the announcement of its partner promotions that took effect last month, with five new partners added to the firm's Madrid office and one each in Barcelona, Bilbao and Valencia.

This year's results are the first to be issued following the firm's merger with Portuguese outfit Proenca de Carvalho & Associados at the start of 2010 to form Uria Menendez Proenca de Carvalho in Portugal.
