Everything Everywhere has finalised the restructuring of its 45-strong legal team following last July's merger of telecoms providers Orange and T-Mobile.

Legacy T-Mobile general counsel James Blendis – who was appointed as GC and company secretary of Everything Everywhere shortly after the merger which created the company – was responsible for the integration of the two companies' legal departments.

Following a six-month review, Blendis has made six senior appointments from both sides of the tie-up to head up each of the company's legal divisions.

Legacy T-Mobile counsel Lisa Ball has been appointed as director of consumer legal affairs, while her colleague Matthew Redding will act as director of joint ventures and partnerships' legal affairs. Guy Perring, also from the legacy T-Mobile team, has been appointed as director of dispute resolution.

The three remaining appointments come from the legacy Orange legal department, with Colin Caldwell named director of legal governance and compliance, Tom Speed appointed director of business legal affairs and Sonia Bellamy named director of operational legal affairs.

Following the merger, which went live on 1 July 2010, legacy Orange general counsel Alexander Lunshof moved into a senior legal role at parent company France Telecom.
