French independent Lefevre Pelletier & Associes is set to launch its first German office later this month with the hire of a Frankfurt tax partner from Marccus Partners, the legal division of UK consultancy Mazars.
Guillaume Rubechi, who will become the managing partner of the French firm's new Frankfurt office, specialises in Franco-German corporate transactions.
Prior to joining Marccus in 2005 – where he split his time between Frankfurt and Paris – Rubechi spent several years as an in-house lawyer at Ernst & Young.
Lefevre has launched three other international bases in recent years – Guangzhou in 2005, Algiers in 2007 and Casablanca in 2008.
Separately, the firm has hired three partners for its Paris headquarters, who are also joining from Marccus.
Jacques-Henry Beaumont has been brought in to head up the French firm's existing tax practice in Paris, while real estate partner Silke Madolni, who previously headed up the department at Marccus, is joining Lefevre's Paris real estate team.
Employment partner Monika Seidel-Moreau, meanwhile, will join Lefevre's so-called 'social' team, which deals with all aspects of employment law.
The hires are part of Lefevre Pelletier's continued efforts to rebuild its partnership after the loss of a 10-partner team to Wragge & Co in January 2010.
