Ashurst is set to see all three of its London-based US securities partners leave the firm.

Corporate partners Daniel Bushner, Eric Stuart and Marie Elena Angulo have handed in their notice, with the departures first reported on legal website RollonFriday earlier this morning (1 April).

A partner at the firm said Ashurst intended to replace the trio with a team of lateral hires, stating that they were in 'advanced talks' with at least two partners from a rival firm.

Bushner is set to leave Ashurst imminently, with Stuart and Angulo expected to stay until the new team arrives. The associates in the group are being given the option to stay at Ashurst to continue working with the new arrivals.

Bushner, Stuart and Angulo are believed to be in talks with several firms, including Jones Day.

US securities head Bushner was previously London managing partner of legacy New York firm Rogers & Wells until its merger with Clifford Chance (CC). He joined Ashurst in 2004 from CC, with Stuart joining alongside him.

Angulo, meanwhile, recently returned to Ashurst after a secondment to Citibank as a partner.

Ashurst has seen a number of partner departures over the last few years, including corporate partner Steven Fox, who left Ashurst last November to join CC. Meanwhile, the firm's head of securities and structured finance Erica Handling left in January to take up a new role as EMEA general counsel at Barclays Capital.
