O'Melveny & Myers corporate partner Mark Easton has left the firm to join Warner Bros as deputy general counsel.

In his new role, Easton will work closely with executive vice president and general counsel John Rogovin, supervising the legal support for the company's global business dealings.

As a partner in O'Melveny's Los Angeles office, Easton advised public and private companies, as well as private equity funds, boards of directors and financial advisers in M&A and capital markets. He has experience in a broad range of industries, including entertainment, sports, telecoms and real estate

O'Melveny chairman Arthur Culvahouse commented: "As one of our best and brightest, we are delighted that Mark is joining our good client Warner Bros. Mark's sharp intellect and keen sense of business strategy make him the perfect choice for this highly sought-after position."

Warner Bros GC Rogovin joined the company in 2008 from US firm Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr.

In February this year, former O'Melveny & Myers London private equity partner Paul Loynes joined buyout house Apollo Global Management as its first-ever European head of legal.

Loynes, who left O'Melveny's London office in October last year having made partner in 2006, will be based in London but will report to global chief counsel John Suydam in New York.
