London firms Bircham Dyson Bell and Harbottle & Lewis have announced their annual partner promotions, with the pair making up four between them.

The promotions, which took effect on 1 June for both firms, see Henry Cecil and Hugo Smith made up in Bircham Dyson's private wealth department, bringing the total number of partners at the firm to 48.

Cecil focuses on rural property and agricultural and landed estates, while Smith specialises in trust and tax planning.

Meanwhile, Harbottle has also made up two partners, with Chloe Wright joining the partnership in the music group and David Scott promoted in charities and tax.

Wright (pictured), who advises a number of high-profile music clients including Universal Music Group, Jamie Cullum, Jade Ewen and Simian Mobile Disco, is the daughter of Chrysalis Music co-founder Chris Wright. Scott is the head of the firm's charities group.

In addition, Bircham Dyson has promoted three associates to the rank of senior associate and Harbottle two.

The news comes after fellow London firm Speechly Bircham added four lawyers to its partnership across its financial services, real estate, private wealth and construction practices.
